One of the best parts of my job as a photographer is continuing to capture families over time. I’ve been taking family photos for the Belair photos for over 4 years now. Kara is one of my best friends from growing up in Minnesota and I love her sweet family so much. So when the Belairs moved to San Diego, I knew we had to do some Coronado Beach Family Photos when I was visiting!
Whenever there are kids involved in photo sessions, you never know how it’s going to go. However, I always love to keep it fun and light at sessions and the girls did great! They twirled in the sand, explored the beach and chased waves. My philosophy is letting kids have fun and enjoy themselves always results in happy, joyful photos.
Mom and dad get to have fun too! I love taking time for photos just of the parents at family photo sessions. Kara and Kevin have been married for over twelve years but still have that spark.
The best part of these Coronado Beach family photos? Sunshine. Harsh light and midday photo sessions can be difficult. But the sun really added to the “beach vibe” – who wants to go to the beach when it’s cloudy anyway?
