Pros of a Wedding Day First Look

Thinking about doing a wedding day first look? A wedding is one of the most significant events in a couple’s relationship. It is a celebration of love and commitment between two people who have decided to spend their lives together. As with any big event, planning a wedding can be stressful, but there are ways to make it easier. One of these ways is to do a first look before the ceremony.

A first look is moment where the bride and groom see each other for the first time before the ceremony. The first look is usually captured by photographer and is an increasingly popular trend in weddings. Some couples choose to do the first look alone, while others invite their immediate family or wedding party to witness it. There are several benefits to doing a first look at your wedding.

A first look on your wedding day can relieve stress and anxiety

One of the biggest advantages of doing a first look is that it relieves stress and anxiety for a lot of people. Wedding days can be very busy and nerve-wracking. Many brides and grooms also find themselves overwhelmed by emotions and the number of people around them all day. Seeing your partner before the ceremony can help calm your nerves and make you feel more relaxed. Plus getting a quiet moment away during the middle of the busy day is always nice!

You get to spend more time together if you do a first look

Weddings can be incredibly busy, and the day can go by in a blur. Doing a first look allows you to spend more time together and enjoy each other’s company before the ceremony. You also can attend your cocktail hour most of the time! Traditionally, the bride and groom take photos after the ceremony, which often means they can miss out on a large part of their cocktail hour or reception. Doing a first look allows you to take photos before the ceremony, which means you get to spend more time with your guests.

The excitement of a first look at your wedding day

You will have more time for photos

This is one of my favorite reasons to do a first look – for obvious reasons. When you do a first look, you can often schedule bridal party photos and some couples photos before the ceremony. This means you can take your time and not feel rushed.

A wedding day first look is more private

Doing a first look allows you to have some quiet time with your partner. This seems like a little thing, but with the chaos of a wedding day, it is actually rare. It’s a chance to be excited together. It’s time to share your thoughts and feelings with each other without any distractions.
